What is a Balance Assessment System?

As the name suggests, a balance assessment device is designed to challenge and strengthen a patient's balance. By combining a platform, safety system, and custom exercise programs, a patient's healthcare provider can set parameters and challenges to help patients regain better neurosensory control.

The Korebalance Line from Medical Fitness Solutions

Medical Fitness Solutions is a brand that creates unique balance assessment devices, as well as other fitness and cardiovascular equipment. The Korebalance System line of devices include stationary balance units, a mobile unit, and a basic platform.

Each of the Korebalance units consists of a platform, an interactive screen, and safety features like handrails, safety belts, and exercise band attachments. The platform is mobile and shifts to challenge the patient's balance. Using the LCD touchscreen, caregivers can program the units to perform exercise challenges or interactive games to train the patient's neurosensory or balance skills. Patients can hang on to the handrails during the procedure, as a safety precaution.

Stationary vs Compact Units

The Korebalance devices are available in stationary and lightweight, compact units. The stationary units are designed to remain in place, and are incredibly stable. The platform is accompanied with handrails and an interactive LCD screen, where caregivers can program exercises or interactive games.

The Korebalance Kompact System features a platform with a non-slip neoprene pad, variable air pressure bladder system, and a 19" touchscreen computer. It's lightweight for easy transport around a facility, as well as user-friendly for setup.
