The disposable head immobilizer is made of lightweight, water-resistant, and radiolucent corrugated plastic that is designed for one-time use. The immobilizer consists of independent support panels that fold up around the patient's head, and use hook-and-loop fasteners to stay stable. Side-panel openings allow easy access to the patient's ears for monitoring.
