The 280 is designed for general suction use in the home, hospitals, or clinics. It is compact, reliable, and economical. The heart of the Model 280 is Gomco's diaphragm pump, designed to provide low maintenance and long lasting, quiet performance. The pump is designed for greater dependability, requires no oiling, and is completely enclosed for maximum protection.

The Model 280 incorporates Gomco's high efficiency bacteria filter, a hydrophobic, microporous membrane which filters air with maximum efficiency while helping to block the flow of aqueous fluids and aerosol contaminants. The unit has a lighted on/off switch, and a hospital grade electrical AC plug for added user protection. Model 280 is UL listed.

The light weight and built-in handle allows transporting the Model 280 with minimal effort.
