Description
Sklar's Tischler-Kevorkian Wide Bite Biopsy Punch Forceps are an OB/GYN instrument most commonly used in colposcopy procedures to obtain cervical tissue samples for biopsy. The jaws of this biopsy punch are designed to open 60 degrees, which is wider than other standard punches, in order to obtain tissue samples from obscure sites. This product is straight with an 8 inch shaft and 3mm x 9.5mm rectangular bite. It features a single lower tooth and a single upper tooth to provide a greater grasp on difficult to reach tissue. It also has a locking mechanism above the horn on the handle so the jaws can lock the tissue sample into place while the instrument is removed from the cervical canal. This reduces the risk of losing the tissue sample as the instrument is withdrawn. This product has a plier style handle with two finger rests and a hook on the lower handle for user comfort and increased control.
