Description
Sklar's tungsten carbide Mathieu-Ryder needle holder is a single spring, plier handle instruent with a locking ratchet. It used for suturing, commonly in plastic surgeries requiring very fin sutures.The Mathieu-Ryder has a different shaped, fine jaw, versus the regular Mathieu. These Mathieu-Ryder jaw tip profile is similar to the Langenbeck-Ryder. TC instruments are designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than other standard instruments. Sklar permanently bonds tungsten carbide inserts to the instrument, which maximizes control and precision. TC instruments are identified by gold handles.
