Sklar's Caspar rongeur is used in orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures, including laminectomies, discectomies and other spinal procedures requiring debulking or removing the vertebral arch. The handle design eases manual operation and effective grip while preserving the structure of the disc. This black Diamond-Like Carbon Coating surface protects the instrument for durability and smoothness, reducing the need for frequent sharpening. A distinguishing feature of the Caspar, the cupped tip is serrated and fenestrated. It is available straight, angled up or angled down. The Caspar is available in different lengths and bite sizes.
