Description
Econo Foerster Sponge Forceps, which may also be known as Foerster-Ballenger Sponge Forceps, are commonly used in surgical procedures to hold gauze squares that will absorb excess fluids and blood from the surgical site or hemostasis. The ratcheted locking mechanism of these finger ring forceps securely grip the gauze and hold it in place. Foerster Sponge Forceps that are longer in length are often used in bariatric surgeries and the curved version may be used for removing the placenta in OB/GYN procedures. Econo instruments are Sklar's floor-grade, disposable instruments and are sold in bulk quantities. This product is curved with oval, fenestrated, serrated tips and a length of 9-1/2 inches. They are sold in boxes of 12.
