Description
The Dynarex L-Mesitran Soft Wound Gel (#3078 / 24 per Case) from Durma is a sterile primary dressing gel that contains 40% medical grade honey, hypo-allergenic lanolin, and vitamins C and E to retain hydration and protect skin at the wound site. The L-Mesitran Honey Gel can be used for acute and chronic wounds, such as venous, atrial and diabetic ulcers, fungating wounds, donor sites, and surgical wounds at stages 1, 2, 3, and 4.
When in contact with the wound, fluid is drawn from the surrounding tissues through osmosis, creating a moist healing environment. The Wound Gel does not adhere to the wound, and also prevents other secondary dressings from adhering to the wound. It facilitates good wound bed preparation.
The pH-balanced formula supports natural antibacterial activity and helps reduce the risk of infection.
