SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2016) - MFI Medical Equipment, Inc., a San Diego-based medical equipment and supply company, opened the doors of its new headquarters on Tuesday, Oct. 4. This new office in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood of San Diego expands the sales, customer service and content department space by more than double, and provides more than eight times the warehouse space.
This move comes as MFI Medical Equipment announces rapid growth and a new CEO, Augustus Wiesel. The company's previous president, Arnold Wiesel has now moved into an advisory role at the company as CPO and board member. Augustus brings more than nine years of experience with MFI to the role of CEO. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Augustus led the move to e-commerce for MFI, helping grow website sales as well, which now account for more than 30 percent of revenue for the company.
"I've worked at MFI Medical Equipment for many years, and I've enjoyed seeing our company grow from a small family-run business to one of the top players in the new and refurbished medical equipment and supplies industry," said CEO Augustus Wiesel. MFI Medical Equipment will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2017, and has grown immensely since its founding in 1982. Currently, the company employs 22 full-time employees at its San Diego headquarters, and will be looking to expand sales, customer service, content and warehouse teams by approximately 30 employees by the end of the 2017.
MFI has received a number of awards and certifications over the years, including an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, recognition as an eBay Power Seller and distinction from DOTmed as a Gold Parts and Certified Vendor. Additionally, MFI earned a place on the DOTmed 100 list for the past two years.
