The Pedigo 5400 Universal Transport Stretcher includes side rails, four IV pole receptacles, four restraint strap positions, and corner bumpers. It's available as a standard or wide model.

The 5400 Universal Transport Stretcher is ideal for use in the ED, OR, PACU, or other departments where efficient patient transport is needed. It can safely support up to 500 lb, and features True Direction Steering (TDS), dual side-mounted hydraulic foot pedals, and steer-activated foot pedals. It possesses a single Trendelenburg assist cylinder and pneumatic assist fowler for safe raising and lowering of the patient's position. The foot pedals are color-coded as well for quick identification. To activate the TDS, the front right caster will lock once the steering pedal is pressed.

The metal parts of the stretcher are constructed from CuVerro copper, a bactericidal element that is registered by the EPA to kill bacteria continuously. A steel column in the center of the stretcher uses 16 precision ball-bearings for smooth raising and lowering of the surface. The rails are easy to wipe and disinfect, and can be tucked away to reduce transfer gap during patient transfer.
