American Diagnostic Corporation
American Diagnostic Corporation (ADC) is one of the world’s premier manufacturers of diagnostic medical products, personal instruments, and accessories for the healthcare industry. For more than 30 years, they’ve been dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and supplying stethoscopes, blood pressure instruments, thermometers, and other core diagnostic products.
Vital Signs Monitors
The newly redesigned ADC ADView 2 Modular Diagnostic Station is the first and still only vital signs monitor that grows and adapts to the needs of your practice. Start with blood pressure and choose temperature or pulse oximetry module options at the time of purchase or add new modules and accessories in the field, anytime, as you need them.
Pulse Oximeters
ADC’s line of fingertip pulse oximeters combine the finger sensor probe, electronics, and display screen in one ultra-compact form, making them portable and convenient. Pulse oximeters are essential tools for monitoring oxygen levels, especially in situations where oxygen supply to vital organs is critical, such as during surgery, in intensive care units, or for individuals with respiratory conditions like COPD or asthma. They are also widely used by athletes and individuals with certain health conditions to track their oxygen levels during physical activity or at rest. A normal SpO2 reading is typically around 95-100%, but healthcare professionals may have specific target ranges for different patients based on their medical needs.
Sphygmomanometers
A sphygmomanometer is a medical device used to measure blood pressure. It comes in manual and electronic types, with the manual version involving an inflatable cuff, a pressure gauge, and a stethoscope to detect blood flow sounds in the arm, while the electronic version automates the process and displays results digitally. Sphygmomanometers are crucial for monitoring cardiovascular health by measuring systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
ADC’s pocket and palm aneroid sphygmomanometers are available in a number of models and price ranges to meet your needs. You can select from their top-of-the-line Diagnostix brand models or their value-priced Prosphyg series. ADC’s clock face aneroid is the ideal blood pressure monitoring solution for institutional use. Choose from wall mount or mobile configurations to ensure the best fit for your clinic’s needs.
If you prefer to not use an analog gauge, ADC offers an alternative E-Sphyg Digital Pocket Aneroid Sphygmomanometer. Home blood pressure kits are also available. Choose from ADC’s Prosphyg brand aneroid home kits, or the feature-rich line of mechanical and digital Advantage blood pressure monitors.
Stethoscopes
ADC stethoscopes are available in two primary brands: Proscopes, primarily for institutional use, are ideal for general assessment and blood pressure measurement. Available in more than half a dozen models in hundreds of model options, all Proscopes retail for less than $20. ADC’s top-of-the-line Adscopes meet the needs of the demanding healthcare professional. Available in more than 12 models from lightweight acoustic and the best-selling Sprague, to the state-of-the-art Adscope 658 Electronic Stethoscope, they have the right scope for every application. The 658 Electronic Stethoscope’s contact-activated microphone filters higher-frequency background noises that typically interfere with auscultation, then amplifies heart and lung sounds up to 18X.
ADC’s Pro’s Combos combine their most popular aneroid blood pressure instruments and best-selling stethoscopes in a premium, beautifully color-coordinated carry case. ADC Teaching Stethoscopes are also available and include two headsets that allow the teacher and student to listen simultaneously.
Thermometers
ADC offers three models of infrared thermometers, two with tympanic technology and one that reads temperature from the middle of the forehead. The ADC Adtemp 429 Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer features an infrared sensor that reads temperature from the middle of the forehead with no skin contact required for a safe and comfortable experience that minimizes the risk of cross-contamination.
If you’re not interested in an infrared model, ADC also offers one of the largest selections of cost-effective digital stick thermometers to meet virtually every clinical setting. ADC offers nine distinct models. Choose from super-low-cost models that measure in 60 seconds to super-fast-read models that measure in as little as two seconds.
Single-Patient-Use Products
There are also a variety of affordable single-patient-use products including SPU Stethoscopes, SPU Cuff and Bladders, SPU Sphygmomanometers, and SPU Thermometers. These devices are economical enough for single-patient application, but durable enough for repeated use.
Diagnostics
ADC has a wide selection of diagnostic instruments that are designed to meet virtually any need. They offer EENT and physical-exam instruments in economical 2.5V and state-of-the-art 3.5V systems. Portable, pocket, desk, and wall configurations are all available.
ADC’s Pocket Series Diagnostic Instruments include both an Otoscope for examination of the inner ear and an Ophthalmoscope for examination of the eye. ADC’s 2.5V Otoscope is available in a veterinary model, as well. ADC also produces a Dermascope for examination of skin lesions, and a Throat Illuminator for examination of the oral cavity and pharynx. Most models allow you to choose between Xenon or LED illumination.
ADC Adstations are designed to be mounted on the wall or an Adstation Wallboard and start with a base unit that contains a power switch and one handle. Up to three single-handle extension units can be added to the base. The two instrument combo sets are available to order with a wallboard that leaves room to mount an ADView 2 Modular Diagnostic Station or an ADC Diagnostix 750W Wall Aneroid Sphygmomanometer.
The ADC 5630 Wall Specula Dispenser can also be added and is a hygienic and practical solution to storing specula. To determine which ADC Adstation is right for you, you can use ADC’s helpful Build a Diagnostix Set feature to customize your Adstation. After you construct your perfect diagnostic station, you can search by the model number on MFI’s website to find that specific configuration and complete your purchase.
Laryngoscopes
A laryngoscope consists of a handle and a blade, and is a medical instrument used by healthcare professionals to examine and visualize the larynx (voice box) and the vocal cords located within the throat. ADC offers a broad line of Satin brand reusable laryngoscopes with either traditional or fiber optic illumination, and LED illuminated single-patient-use models. Blades are available in both Macintosh and Miller profiles in the most popular sizes. ADC’s Satin brand reusable blades are available in popular curved Macintosh, straight Miller, or Wisconsin profiles.
CPR
ADC has a comprehensive line of CPR products and resuscitation aids. Choose from Berman or Guedel Oral Airways, each providing a variety of packaging options from bulk to kit packs. ADC’s line of Adsafe face shields and valve masks are also available in an incredible number of options. These CPR products combine functionality with portability and are ideal for a pocket, purse, glove box, or trauma kit.
Neurological Instruments
The ADC Neurological Hammer Set includes five of the most popular instruments used for diagnosis of neurological function in one complete kit. The set includes a Taylor Hammer, Buck Hammer, Babinski Hammer, Queen's Square Hammer, and a Wartenberg Pinwheel. ADC’s six different tuning forks are machined from high-grade aluminum alloy and offer accurate frequency responses from 128 to 4096 Hz.
Instruments and Accessories
ADC surgical instruments, tools, and accessories are made to their exacting specifications in order to withstand the rigors of daily use. Instruments range from scissors and hemostats of surgical stainless steel to the world’s best-selling Medicut shears and window punches. If you need a way to carry and store your items, ADC offers a variety of cases and organizers that features an impressive selection of belt holsters, pocket organizers, and medical bags, all produced to ADC’s unrivaled standards of quality and ergonomic ingenuity.
