When IV fluid is running Battery Alarm keep peeping.

MFI Medical

Dear Mary Bertero,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the Baxter Sigma Spectrum Infusion Pump and the battery alarm issue you're experiencing.

When the battery alarm is continuously beeping while IV fluid is running, it typically indicates that the battery level is low or that there may be an issue with the battery or power source. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Battery Level: Verify the battery level on the infusion pump's display screen. If the battery level is low, you may need to replace the battery or connect the pump to a power source.
Connect to Power Source: Ensure that the infusion pump is properly connected to a power source using the AC adapter or power cord. If the battery is low, connecting to a power source should stop the battery alarm from beeping.
Battery Replacement: If the battery level is critically low or if the battery is old or damaged, you may need to replace the battery with a fully charged or new one. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for replacing the battery carefully.
Power Cycle: Try power cycling the infusion pump by turning it off, disconnecting it from the power source, and then reconnecting it and turning it back on. This can sometimes reset the alarm system and resolve temporary issues.
Technical Support: If the battery alarm continues to beep despite troubleshooting steps, it may indicate a more significant issue with the infusion pump. In this case, we recommend contacting Baxter technical support or the manufacturer for further assistance. They can provide guidance on diagnosing and resolving the problem or arrange for servicing if necessary.
It's essential to address the battery alarm issue promptly to ensure the continued safe and effective operation of the infusion pump and to prevent interruptions in patient care.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out. We're here to help.
