SklarLite Sterilization Containers are made from anodized aluminum that allow them to be durable but lighter than traditional containers, ideal for not only sterilization and storage, but also easy transport. Available in multiple sizes, with lids available in a variety of colors, containers are available in sets or individual components. Sklar also offers a wide range of accessories, including baskets, silicone mats, custom ID labels, and filters. This product is a Safe Model container which features an additional solid lid (not pictured) that protects the perforation and filter on the standard lid. Frequently asked questions

Is this container made from heavy, traditional metals?

No, it is crafted from anodized aluminum alloy. This material is engineered to provide professional-grade durability while being significantly lighter than traditional sterilization containers, making it much easier to handle and transport.

How does the Safe Lid model protect my instruments?

The Safe Lid configuration includes an additional solid protective over-lid. This secondary layer is designed to:

Shield the primary perforated lid and filter from damage.

Ensure the integrity of the sterilization barrier during dense stacking.

Prevent debris from settling on the filters during storage.

Is this system safe for latex-sensitive environments?

Yes. The SklarLite Sterilization Container is manufactured without natural rubber latex, making it a secure choice for clinical settings that require hypoallergenic materials.

Can this container be used for multiple sterilization cycles?

Absolutely. This is a reusable system designed for long-term utility. It is built to withstand repeated sterilization cycles, offering a durable, cost-effective solution for sterile processing departments.

What is the benefit of the non-perforated bottom?

The non-perforated bottom provides a solid base that prevents cross-contamination from the exterior of the container during transport and ensures that contents remain securely contained within a sealed environment.

Why is the yellow lid color helpful for organization?

The distinct bright yellow lid serves as a functional visual indicator. In busy sterile processing departments, this high-contrast color allows for rapid identification of specific sets or instrument groups during storage and retrieval.

Does this container integrate with existing Sklar accessories?

Yes, it is fully compatible with the broader SklarLite sterilization system. You can easily outfit this unit with Sklar-compatible accessories such as:

Internal silicone mats for instrument protection

Custom identification labels

Standardized baskets and filters

Is the construction robust enough for high-throughput facilities?

Yes, it is specifically designed for high-throughput sterile processing environments. The anodized aluminum alloy construction is chosen for its resilience, ensuring the container maintains its shape and security even when stacked frequently.

Does the system arrive ready for immediate use?

The container is supplied non-sterile, so it must undergo a validated sterilization cycle before its first clinical use. Once properly cleaned and processed, it is ready to integrate seamlessly into your surgical workflow.

Is there a guarantee for the quality of this container?

Yes, the SklarLite Sterilization Container is backed by a lifetime warranty, reflecting the manufacturer’s confidence in the quality of the materials and the robustness of the engineering.
