Frequently asked questions

Does the diamond coating help with instrument longevity?

Yes, the diamond dust coating is specifically engineered to improve the instrument’s grip security while offering superior resistance to wear and abrasion. This helps maintain the precision of the jaws even after repeated sterilization and use cycles.

Is this holder designed for high-precision control?

Absolutely. It utilizes a double leaf spring mechanism without a locking catch, which is ideal for the fine tactile sensitivity and fluid movements required during delicate microsurgical procedures.

Will these grips help reduce hand fatigue during long surgeries?

The instrument is designed with user comfort in mind. It features semi-cylindrical, texturized grips engineered to provide a non-slip, tactile feel, which helps minimize hand fatigue during complex or prolonged procedures.

Does the curvature improve access to tight surgical sites?

Yes, the curved shaft design is specifically intended to facilitate better maneuverability, making it much easier to access and manipulate needles in the small, confined operative fields common in microsurgery.

Is this instrument safe for patients with latex allergies?

Yes, this Toledo Micro Needle Holder is manufactured without natural rubber latex, making it a safe choice for patient care environments.

Does this instrument meet strict professional compliance standards?

Yes, this instrument is fully TAA compliant, ensuring it meets the manufacturing standards required for professional medical and government procurement.

Does the instrument arrive ready for immediate use?

No, it is shipped in a non-sterile state. As with most reusable surgical instruments, you must properly clean and sterilize the device according to your facility’s protocols before its first use.

Can this securely grasp very fine suture needles?

Yes, the working jaws are both cross-serrated and diamond-coated. This combination ensures a highly secure, slip-resistant grasp on the fine needles used in delicate microsurgical work.

Why is this model designed without a locking catch?

The lack of a locking catch is a specific design feature for microsurgery. It allows the surgeon to perform precise, uninterrupted movements without the resistance or potential obstruction that a lock mechanism might cause in a restricted operative space.

Is this instrument built to withstand repeated use?

Yes, constructed from durable stainless steel and featuring wear-resistant diamond-coated jaws, this instrument is built for durability and repeated, long-term use in professional surgical settings.
