Frequently asked questions

Are these scissors suitable for microvascular procedures?

Yes, these scissors are specifically designed for intricate surgical procedures, including microvascular, ophthalmic, and neurosurgery applications where precise dissection of fine tissues is required.

Can I use these for blunt dissection tasks?

Absolutely. While the scissors provide a smooth, precise cutting edge, the design allows you to use the sides of the closed tips for blunt dissection, effectively mimicking the function of forceps.

Is the stainless steel grade suitable for clinical use?

Yes, these are manufactured from high-quality, durable stainless steel designed to withstand the rigors of repeated use in professional surgical environments.

Are the handles designed for ergonomic control?

The scissors feature round handles, which are specifically engineered to provide superior tactile feedback and enhanced control during delicate micro-surgical procedures.

Does this tool contain any latex components?

No, these scissors are certified to be completely free of natural rubber latex, making them safe for use in environments where latex allergies are a concern.

How should I prepare these before their first use?

These instruments are supplied non-sterile. It is mandatory to subject the scissors to an appropriate, facility-approved sterilization process prior to their first use in any surgical setting.

Does the curved design help with complex anatomy?

The curved blade profile is specifically selected to facilitate easier access and navigation around complex anatomical structures, such as blood vessels and nerves, that would be difficult to reach with straight instruments.

Is this product TAA compliant for government facilities?

Yes, this instrument is fully TAA compliant, meeting the necessary Trade Agreements Act requirements for procurement in federal and government-affiliated medical facilities.

Are these scissors considered reusable?

Yes, this is a reusable surgical instrument. When cleaned and sterilized according to standard medical protocols, it is designed to provide long-term service.

What is the tip configuration for these scissors?

This model features a blunt/blunt (B/B) tip configuration, which is ideal for performing precise dissection without causing unintended puncturing of delicate surrounding tissues.
