Sklar's Love-Kerrison laminectomy (or Intervrtebral disc IVD) rongeur is a spinal orthopedic instrument with a sharp-edged scoop shaped tip. Laminectomy rongeurs are used for debulking and manipulation of the intervertabral discs and vertebral bones. The scooped cup tips are used for soft tissue or small amounts of bone. The Love-Kerrison is avalable with various size cups, positioned at various angles. This spring handled variety resembles the Schlesinger, versus the finger ring varieties. This 5mm down-bite model is also available as part of our Laminectomy Set # 98-1032.
