Description

Sklar's Kantrowitz Right Angle Thoracic Forceps are a ratcheted, finger ring cardiovascular instrument used to clamp vessels or hold sutures. The right angle curvature of the tips of these forceps allows greater access to hard to reach areas. Kantrowitz thoracic forceps are similar to Mixter and Finochietto thoracic forceps; however, Kantrowitz commonly have finer serrations as well as only partially serrated jaws. These forceps are frequently used in small animal surgery. The overall length of this instrument is 7-1/2 inches.

Are these suitable for veterinary surgery?

Yes, in addition to human cardiovascular and thoracic applications, these forceps are frequently selected by veterinary surgeons for use in small animal procedures.

Do the jaws provide a secure grip on tissues?

The jaws are designed for precision control, featuring refined lateral serrations. This configuration ensures a secure grasp while minimizing trauma during sensitive surgical tasks.

Can this instrument be reused after sterilization?
