Description

The Sklar Graves Vaginal Speculum is a gynecological instrument used for performing pelvic examinations, Pap Smears, and examining the cervix. It is a double blade duckbill speculum inserted with the blades closed. The blades are then opened by an external lever and screw. The Graves Speculum has wider blades than the Pederson Speculum and the practitioner can best determine which type and size speculum is most appropriate for the patient. This product is an extra large speculum with 4" X 1-1/2" blades.

No, the Sklar Graves Vaginal Speculum is not made with natural rubber latex, making it a safe choice for patients with latex sensitivities.

How should this instrument be prepared for use?

The speculum is supplied non-sterile. Prior to clinical use, it must be processed through your facility’s established sterilization and cleaning protocols for reusable surgical instruments.

Is the insertion process standard?
