This product is a fiber-optic, 4mm, #5 English Style Macintosh blade. It has a length of 150mm. In general, Macintosh laryngoscope blades are curved. English Style Macintosh blades are longer than American Style Macintosh blades and feature a more continuous curvature. The English style blade tends to reveal a better view for the user, and is the preferred style to use if laryngoscopy is anticipated to be difficult. This fiber-optic blade conforms to the Green System of fiber-optic compatibility which is indicated by a green bar at the posterior end of the blade where the blade attaches to a fiber-optic handle.
