Description

Sklar's DeBakey Atraumatic Tangential Occlusion Clamp is a ratcheted, finger ring clamp used in cardiovascular procedures to provide partial clamping of vessels. The clamp holds a section of the vessel wall while blood continues to flow through the open section. The ratcheted handle allows the surgeon to adjust and maintain blood flow as necessary for the presenting conditions. The fine, nontraumatic teeth on this clamp causes little to no damage to the vessel. This clamp is also useful in vascular grafting procedures. This product has a double angle with 1x2 rows of fine, atraumatic teeth, and a length of 10 inches.

Yes. This instrument features 1x2 rows of fine, non-traumatic teeth specifically engineered to hold vessels securely while causing little to no damage to the delicate vessel walls.

Can the surgeon precisely control the clamping pressure?

Absolutely. The clamp is equipped with a ratcheted handle, which allows the surgeon to precisely adjust and maintain the exact level of pressure required for controlled blood flow throughout the procedure.

Is this clamp suitable for complex vascular procedures?

Yes, its double-angled configuration is specifically designed to facilitate easier access, making it an excellent choice for complex cardiovascular surgeries and vascular grafting.

Is this instrument built for long-term clinical use?

It is constructed from high-quality stainless steel and is classified as a reusable instrument, ensuring long-term durability and reliable performance in professional medical environments.

Is the material safe for patients with sensitivities?

Yes, the clamp is not made with natural rubber latex, making it a safer option for patients with latex allergies.

Does the CensiTrac marking provide added utility?

Yes, being CensiTrac marked allows for enhanced instrument tracking and management, which is vital for maintaining high standards in sterile processing and inventory management workflows.

How long is the reach of this instrument?

This clamp measures 10 inches in length, providing the necessary reach and leverage required for effective occlusion in deep surgical sites.

Are there any specific cleaning instructions for this clamp?

As this is a professional-grade stainless steel surgical instrument, it should be processed according to your facility’s standard protocols for reusable surgical instruments (e.g., sterilization). It is supplied non-sterile and must be sterilized before its first use.

Is this instrument compliant with procurement regulations?

Yes, the product is TAA Compliant, ensuring it meets the trade agreement requirements necessary for various government and public sector procurement needs.
