Description

Econo Lorna (Edna) Towel Clamps are a non-perforating clamp used to secure instruments, surgical materials such as tubing, and towels to the drape surrounding a surgical site. The jaws and tips are curved while the shanks and handle are flat so they can rest on the patient. The teeth on the tips of this towel clamp are blunted so they grip tightly but do not penetrate the surgical drape. They also have ratcheted finger ring handles so a firm hold can be secured. The Lorna Towel Clamp is also commonly referred to as the Edna Towel Clamp. This clamp should never be used on skin. Econo instruments are Sklar's floor-grade, disposable instruments and are sold in bulk quantities. This product is 5-1/4 inches long. It is sold in boxes of 12.

Is this clamp safe for use on patients?

No. These clamps are strictly designed for securing surgical drapes and tubing only. They should never be used directly on patient skin.

Are these made from latex-free materials?

Yes, these clamps are not made with natural rubber latex, making them suitable for clinical environments where latex sensitivity is a concern.

How does the 'curved on flat' profile help during surgery?

The unique curved on flat construction allows the shanks and handles to lie securely and comfortably against the patient, while the curved tips allow for optimal, efficient drape management.

Do these clamps feature a reliable locking mechanism?

Yes. Each clamp is equipped with a ratcheted finger ring handle system, which allows you to lock the instrument in place for a secure, consistent hold on surgical materials.

Are these instruments intended for single-use applications?

Yes. As part of Sklar’s floor-grade line, these clamps are designed as a disposable, single-use solution to enhance efficiency and eliminate the need for reprocessing.

What material is used to construct these clamps?

These clamps are crafted from high-quality stainless steel, providing a durable and professional-grade feel consistent with standard surgical instrumentation.

Are these clamps supplied in a sterile condition?

No, these units are supplied non-sterile. Please ensure they are processed according to your facility’s protocols before use in a sterile environment.

Is the box quantity suitable for busy clinical settings?
