Description

The SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable (#9101A5) is designed for use with SleepSense Inductive Belts and Alice 5 systems.

Warranty: 1 Year - Free of Defects in Materials and Quality Workmanship.

The Inductive Interface Cable allows you to connect any SleepSense Inductive Belt to your system. Designed as a plug-and-play replacement for Piezo Effort Sensors, the output of inductive bands is exactly proportional to the cross section area of the band's closed loop around the body, and is therefore changing as the patient breathes. The electronics in the interface box measure these inductance changes to generate an AC signal that is the most accurate and reliable replication of respiration waveforms.

NOTE: SleepSense items are for professional use only, and are for sale by or on the order of a physician only.

Compatibility: The SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable is completely compatible with the Philips Respironics Alice 5 unit.

Does the SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable require any calibration?

No, the SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable does not require any calibration, simplifying its setup and use.

What type of sensor does this cable replace?

This cable is designed as a direct, plug-and-play replacement for Piezo Effort Sensors in Alice 5 systems.

What is the model number of this interface cable?

The model number for the SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable is #9101A5.

Is this product intended for professional use only?

Yes, the SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable is intended for professional use only and should be sold by or on the order of a physician.

How does the cable accurately replicate respiration waveforms?

The SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable measures inductance changes in the inductive band as the patient breathes. These changes are then converted into an AC signal, which accurately replicates respiration waveforms. This direct measurement ensures precise and reliable data for respiratory monitoring.

Does this device offer plug-and-play integration?

Yes, the SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable is specifically designed for plug-and-play operation, ensuring immediate and simple integration with your system.

Key features supporting ease of use include:

  • Direct Replacement: It functions as a seamless, direct replacement for traditional Piezo Effort Sensors.
  • No Calibration Required: The convenient design eliminates the need for any on-site calibration.
  • Compatibility: It is fully compatible with Philips Respironics Alice 5 units.

Additionally, the unit features an internal battery rated for an extended life of up to 700 nights of operation.

Which systems are compatible with this cable?

This inductive interface cable is designed for seamless compatibility with specific systems to facilitate accurate respiratory effort monitoring:

  • It is completely compatible with the Philips Respironics Alice 5 unit.
  • It functions by connecting SleepSense Inductive Belts directly to the Alice 5 system, serving as a plug-and-play replacement for traditional Piezo Effort Sensors.
How does the inductive cable accurately measure breathing?

The SleepSense Alice 5 Inductive Interface Cable uses Inductive (RIP) Technology to provide highly accurate replication of respiration waveforms. It functions as a plug-and-play replacement for traditional Piezo Effort Sensors, simplifying setup and use.

Here is how the measurement is achieved:

  • The system measures subtle changes in the inductance of the connected SleepSense Inductive Belt.
  • This inductance change is directly proportional to the belt’s cross-section area change as the patient breathes (abdomen expands and contracts).
  • Integrated electronics convert these changes into a reliable AC signal that precisely mimics the physiological respiration waveform.

A key convenience feature is that the interface cable requires no calibration prior to use.

What components are included with the interface cable?

The SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable is provided as a complete assembly. This plug-and-play unit includes:

  • Inductive Interface Cable Assembly: This is the core component, featuring the central black interface box labeled “Abd.”
  • Connection Leads: Leads extending from the interface box, which include:
    • Red Snap Electrodes: Used for connecting to the SleepSense Inductive Belts.
    • Dual-Pin Connectors: These are the terminal connectors, one blue and one white, designed to interface directly with the Philips Respironics Alice 5 monitoring system.
Is this a brand new product?

Yes, the SleepSense Alice 5 Abdomen Inductive Interface Cable is a Factory New product, ensuring you receive an untouched item directly from the manufacturer.
