Frequently asked questions

Is the aluminum construction durable for daily use?

Yes, the SklarLite container is engineered from anodized aluminum alloy. This material is chosen specifically to provide superior durability while remaining significantly lighter than conventional sterilization units, making it perfect for frequent, heavy-duty use.

How does the Safe Lid system enhance storage safety?

The Safe Model system includes an additional solid protective lid that fits over the primary perforated lid and filter. This feature is specifically designed to:

  • Protect the filter from damage.
  • Allow for secure stacking in storage cabinets.

Absolutely. The bottom of the container is specifically perforated to ensure optimal steam penetration during the sterilization cycle, ensuring your medical instruments are processed effectively.

Is this container suitable for color-coding protocols?

Yes, the vibrant yellow lid is ideal for facility-wide organizational protocols. Using specific colors allows staff to quickly identify:

  • Specific instrument sets.
  • Different processing phases.
  • Assigned surgical specialties.
Is the container safe for those with latex sensitivities?

Yes, the SklarLite container is 100% latex-free, ensuring it is safe for use in clinical environments where natural rubber latex allergies are a concern.

Can I use this for long-term clinical operations?

Certainly. This is a reusable container system designed for long-term clinical utility and sustainability, backed by a Lifetime warranty to ensure consistent, reliable performance over years of service.

Is the container lightweight enough for easy handling?

One of the primary advantages of this container is its reduced weight. By using a specialized anodized aluminum alloy, Sklar has balanced robust, professional-grade strength with a lightweight design that reduces physical strain for staff during transport.

  • Silicone mats for instrument cushioning.
  • Custom baskets for organization.
  • Dedicated ID labels.
