Description

Sklarlite Shortbend Suture Scissors are primarily used for suture removal, and should not be used for cutting tissue. These scissors have a small hook shaped tip on one blade that slides under sutures to lift them before cutting and removal. This hook also holds the suture so it does not slip off the blade of the scissors prior to cutting. Sklarlite instruments are a lighter version of standard Sklar instruments, using a manufacturing process that shaves microns off standard and delicate pattern instruments while maintaining structural integrity and durability. This lightweight modification provides the surgeon with greater control and less fatigue.
