Description

Sklarlite Sklarcut Ragnell Scissors, also known as Kilner/Ragnell scissors, are a lighter version of the standard Sklar scissors that feature micro-serrations on one blade. This assists in securely holding the tissue during cutting and minimizes tissue from slipping so the most accurate and atraumatic cuts can be made. A unique manufacturing process developed by Sklar shaves microns off standard pattern instruments while maintaining structural integrity and durability. This lightweight modification provides the surgeon with greater control and less fatigue. Additionally, the long shanks and short jaws of the Ragnell scissors allow the user greater control with less effort during dissection. This combined with flat blades and blunt tips often make Ragnell scissors the dissection instrument of choice during longer procedures. This product has straight shanks with curved jaws and an overall length of 7 inches. Sklarcut scissors are identified by a single gold coated finger ring on the handle of the serrated blade.

Frequently asked questions

Does the micro-serration help prevent tissue slippage?

Yes, one blade features precision micro-serrations designed specifically to grip tissue firmly. This ensures highly accurate, atraumatic incisions while significantly minimizing accidental slippage during procedures.

Are these scissors suitable for lengthy surgical procedures?

Absolutely. These scissors are engineered with a lightweight design that reduces hand fatigue for the surgeon. Combined with long shanks and short jaws, they offer superior control for extended dissection tasks.

Is the stainless steel high-grade?

Yes, this instrument is constructed from high-quality stainless steel and meets Sklar Premium or Grade standards, ensuring long-term durability and reliability in a clinical environment.

How can I easily identify the serrated blade?

You can quickly identify the serrated blade by the single gold-coated finger ring on its handle. This visual cue helps surgeons instantly distinguish the serrated side from the standard edge.

Is this product latex-free?

Yes, the Sklarcut Sklarlite Ragnell Dissecting Scissors are not made with natural rubber latex, making them safe for use with patients or staff who have latex sensitivities.

What is the benefit of the blunt-tip configuration?
