Sklar's Volkman Bone Curette is a debulking instrument commonly used in orthopedic procedures. It is used to scrape away and remove fibrous tissue and other debris from bone. It may also be used to scrape and remove small portions of the bone itself. Volkmann bone curettes are available as single or double-ended instruments, in various lengths, with multiple tip configurations. This double-ended curette has two oval scoops tip measuring 5mm x 10mm and 6mm x 20mm. The working edge of both scoops is sharp. The faces of the tips open in opposite directions. This product is straight with a flat, smooth handle that is approximately 10mm wide and gradually tapers to the tips. It has an overall length of 5-1/2 inches.
