Frequently asked questions

Are these forceps suitable for delicate microsurgical procedures?

Yes, these are specifically designed for precision work. Featuring 0.4mm atraumatic tips, they are ideal for the delicate holding and dissection of small vessels and fine membranes.

How do the diamond-coated jaws improve performance?

The diamond-coated jaws provide two primary benefits:

  • Superior Grip: They offer a much more secure hold on tissues compared to standard tips.
  • Enhanced Durability: They significantly increase the instrument’s resistance to wear, ensuring the serrations remain effective over repeated use.
Can I easily adjust the instrument angle during surgery?

Absolutely. The ergonomic thumb handle features semi-cylindrical, texturized grips. This design is specifically engineered to allow the surgeon to roll the handle between their fingers, making it effortless to change the direction and angle of the tips during complex dissections.

Is this instrument built to withstand long-term professional use?

Yes, it is built for longevity. Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, this is a reusable instrument designed to be a durable staple in your surgical toolkit.

Are these forceps made with natural rubber latex?

No, this product is latex-free, making it safe for use in environments where latex sensitivity is a concern.

Do these forceps arrive sterile and ready for the operating room?

No, the instrument is shipped non-sterile. It will require appropriate sterilization and cleaning protocols according to your facility’s standards before its first use.

What is the primary benefit of the angled tip design?

The angled configuration is intentionally designed to aid in accessing difficult or obscured areas within the surgical field that might be challenging to reach with straight forceps.

Are these forceps compliant with government procurement standards?

Yes, this model is TAA compliant (Trade Agreements Act), meaning it meets the necessary requirements for eligibility in certain government procurement contracts.

How long are these forceps?

These forceps have an overall length of 7 inches, providing a balance of reach and control essential for microsurgical applications.

Are the grips designed to prevent slippage?

Yes, the handle features texturized, semi-cylindrical grips. This geometric pattern is specifically crafted to provide a secure, slip-resistant surface, ensuring you maintain a firm hold even when adjusting your grip angle mid-procedure.
