Frequently asked questions

Why are Tungsten Carbide inserts preferred for this instrument?

The Tungsten Carbide (TC) inserts are integrated to provide superior wear resistance. This material choice ensures a secure, non-slip grip on fine suture needles, offering significantly better retention than standard stainless steel jaws.

Is the handle design comfortable for extended use?

Yes, the handle is specifically engineered with semi-cylindrical, texturized grips. This ergonomic design is intended to maximize comfort and provide optimal control, reducing hand fatigue during prolonged or delicate procedures.

Are these suitable for delicate microsurgical procedures?

Absolutely. The instrument is tailored for microsurgery, featuring curved, smooth jaws with a precise 0.3mm micro profile. This design is ideal for working within restricted operative fields where accuracy is critical.

Why is this model designed without a catch?

The absence of a locking catch is a deliberate design choice for certain microsurgical applications. It allows for smoother, more fluid movements when manipulating fine needles in very small sites, ensuring the user has constant, precise control without the resistance of a locking mechanism.

Is the instrument built for long-term durability?

Yes. Constructed from high-grade stainless steel and reinforced with Tungsten Carbide inserts, this instrument is designed for heavy-duty, reusable application. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty, ensuring reliability in demanding surgical environments.

Can this needle holder manage very fine sutures?

It is specifically designed for fine suture needle handling. The combination of the 0.3mm micro profile and the cross-serrated jaws provides the necessary grip and delicate touch required for microsurgical suturing.

Does the curved profile improve surgical access?

The curved configuration is intentional, providing a distinct advantage in accessing difficult or tight anatomical spaces. It allows for better needle presentation and improved visibility, which is often hindered by straight instruments in restricted fields.

Is this product safe for latex-sensitive environments?

Yes, this instrument is not made with natural rubber latex, making it a safe choice for surgical settings and patients where latex sensitivity is a concern.

Is this instrument compatible with sterilization protocols?

Yes, this is a reusable surgical instrument. While it arrives non-sterile, it is constructed from high-grade stainless steel, allowing it to withstand standard sterilization processes required for surgical tools between uses.

What does the CensiTrac marking indicate?

The CensiTrac marking indicates that this instrument includes integrated features for quality management and traceability, assisting facilities in maintaining rigorous standards for their surgical inventory.
