Is this tool suitable for microsurgical procedures?

Absolutely. At 7 inches in length with a straight, smooth jaw design, this instrument is purpose-built for microsurgery. It is optimized for the precise manipulation and placement of very fine needles in confined or delicate operative sites.

Will this tool cause hand fatigue during long procedures?

The design prioritizes surgeon comfort. It features semi-cylindrical, texturized grips shaped ergonomically. This design provides optimal control and reduces the likelihood of hand fatigue during prolonged or intricate procedures.

How is the needle holder operated?

The instrument utilizes a double leaf spring thumb handle. This design allows for smooth, responsive movement, paired with an integrated catch mechanism that ensures the needle remains securely held until you are ready to release it.

Is this needle holder built for repeat use?

Yes, this is a reusable instrument. It is constructed from high-grade stainless steel with Tungsten Carbide inserts, specifically designed to withstand repeated sterilization cycles without compromising performance or integrity.

Does it meet government quality standards?

Does the instrument come ready for immediate surgical use?

The product arrives as a non-sterile instrument. It must be processed and sterilized according to your facility’s standard protocols for surgical equipment before it can be used in a sterile field.

How durable is this needle holder over time?

The use of Tungsten Carbide inserts significantly enhances durability by resisting wear far better than standard stainless steel tips. Additionally, the instrument is backed by a Lifetime Warranty, demonstrating the manufacturer’s confidence in its long-term reliability.

What is the primary benefit of the smooth jaws?

The smooth working edge is specifically designed for precision. It prevents unnecessary trauma to the suture material and ensures the needle can be manipulated with exact placement in tight, confined surgical spaces.
