Frequently asked questions

Does the Tungsten Carbide offer superior needle control?

Yes, the inclusion of Tungsten Carbide (TC) inserts significantly enhances the performance of this instrument. These inserts provide a more secure and precise grip on fine suture needles compared to standard stainless steel jaws, and they offer vastly improved wear resistance, ensuring the tool remains effective over a long service life.

Is this needle holder comfortable for long procedures?

Absolutely. It is specifically engineered with ergonomic, semi-cylindrical thumb handles that feature texturized grips. This design is intended to provide comfort and stable control during delicate, prolonged microsurgical tasks.

How does the curved jaw design aid microsurgery?

The curved jaws are designed to provide better access in restricted or confined anatomical spaces. This curvature allows for greater maneuverability, helping surgeons navigate around obstacles when working in very small operative sites.

Is this instrument safe for patients with latex allergies?

Yes, this instrument is safe for use in environments where latex sensitivities are a concern. It is explicitly not made with natural rubber latex.

Why is this needle holder designed without a catch?

This model is designed without a locking mechanism (catch) to allow for fluid, continuous movement. By removing the catch, the instrument provides an unrestricted range of motion, which is often preferred in microsurgery where quick, repetitive adjustments are necessary.

What kind of material construction does this tool use?

This needle holder is constructed from high-quality, premium-grade stainless steel. This durable construction is paired with Tungsten Carbide inserts, combining the strength of steel with the hardened grip properties of TC.

Is this tool suitable for delicate surgical applications?

Yes, it is precision-engineered specifically for microsurgical applications. Its lightweight design, fine curved jaws, and smooth working edges make it ideal for handling fine suture needles in very small or demanding surgical fields.

Does the handle design provide reliable grip?

The handle features a double leaf spring design with specialized texturization. This combination ensures that the instrument remains responsive and provides the tactile feedback necessary for secure, slip-free handling during critical surgical steps.

Is the instrument delivered ready for immediate use?

This instrument is shipped non-sterile. While it is a factory-new, high-quality surgical tool, standard clinical protocols require that it be properly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized according to your facility’s guidelines before its first use.

Can I use this instrument for multiple surgeries?

Yes, this is a reusable surgical instrument. It is built to withstand standard reprocessing and sterilization procedures, making it a reliable, long-term addition to your surgical toolkit.
