Is this tool suitable for heavy-duty suturing tasks?

Absolutely. This model features a wide jaw design and cross-serrated edges, which are specifically optimized for securely grasping and maneuvering larger, heavier suture needles used in deep tissue or large animal procedures.

Yes, the Sklar TC Mayo-Hegar is a highly versatile instrument trusted in both human and veterinary medical environments. It is frequently utilized in a broad spectrum of procedures, from delicate oral and dermatological work to complex bariatric surgeries.

Is the ratchet mechanism reliable for long procedures?

The instrument is equipped with a high-quality ratchet mechanism located near the finger rings. This ensures a secure, locked grip on the needle, providing stability and reducing hand fatigue during prolonged surgical procedures.
