Sklar's Sauerbruch rongeur is a large, double-action instrument used for removing portions of bone or bony tissue. Due to its size, it is most appropriately used on dense bone in unrestricted surgical sites where potential damage to surrounding structures is low. This rongeur has straight 17mm tips for removing larger sections of bone. The horned plier handle provides the user with a thumb rest for a more comfortable and controlling grip. This product is available with a square or round jaw. The Sauerbruch's features are similar to the Stille-Luer and Echlin.
