Sklar's Rumel thoracic forceps are are ratcheted finger ring hemostats used in cardiothroacic procedures. They have a partial serrated and smooth blade making it useful for griping arteries or passing tape around the arteries of the heart. Rumels are available in different jaw curvatures --slightly curved, curved, fully curved and angled. The Rumel have longer jaws --like the Sarot and Overholt Fino, but are half-serrated, unlike many other models (Gemini, Kantrowitz, Sarot).
