Description

Sklar Lorna (Edna) Towel Clamps are a non-perforating clamp used to secure instruments, and surgical materials such as tubing and towels to the drape surrounding a surgical site. The jaws and tips are curved while the shanks and handle are flat so they can rest on the patient. The teeth on the tips of this towel clamp are blunted so they grip tightly but do not penetrate the surgical drape. They also have ratcheted finger ring handles so a firm hold can be secured. The Lorna Towel Clamp is also commonly referred to as the Edna Towel Clamp. This clamp should never be used on skin. This product is 4 inches long.

Is the design comfortable for patient contact?

Yes, this instrument features a curved-on-flat design. While the jaws are curved to hold materials securely, the shanks and handles remain flat. This allows the clamp to rest comfortably against the patient during a procedure without exerting undue pressure.

Can this clamp be sterilized for repeated use?

Absolutely. Because it is constructed from high-grade stainless steel, it is a durable, reusable instrument designed to withstand repeated sterilization cycles in a clinical environment.

How do you ensure the clamp stays locked in place?

The instrument is equipped with ratcheted finger ring handles. This mechanism allows you to lock the clamp into a firm, sustained hold, ensuring that towels or tubing remain securely in position throughout the procedure.

Is this product made from safe, non-allergenic materials?

Yes, this product is latex-free. It is manufactured entirely from high-grade stainless steel, ensuring it is free from natural rubber latex.

Can this instrument be used directly on patient skin?

How much does this surgical clamp weigh?

This instrument is designed to be lightweight and easy to handle, weighing only 0.01 pounds.
