Frequently asked questions

Is high-grade material used for this osteotome?

Yes, this instrument is constructed from high-grade stainless steel. This material is chosen for its durability and suitability for surgical environments, ensuring the tool remains reliable and robust for repeated professional use.

Can this instrument withstand repeated sterilization cycles?

Absolutely. This Lambotte Osteotome is classified as a reusable surgical instrument. It is engineered to maintain its structural integrity through the rigorous, repeated sterilization cycles required in a clinical setting.

Does the curved profile improve surgical access?

Yes, the curved profile is a key feature of this specific model. It is intentionally designed to assist surgeons in accessing anatomical areas where a straight instrument would be difficult to maneuver, allowing for a curved trajectory during procedures.

Is this device made without natural rubber latex?

Yes, this product is not made with natural rubber latex. This is an important feature to consider for surgical environments that require latex-free equipment to ensure patient safety and minimize the risk of allergic reactions.

Does this instrument provide reliable tactile feedback?

Because this tool is designed for manual operation, it allows the surgeon to maintain direct, tactile control throughout the procedure. This is ideal for tasks where you need to finely adjust the pressure exerted during bone cutting or shaping.

Is this product compliant with TAA standards?

Yes, the Sklar Lambotte Osteotome is TAA compliant. This ensures that the instrument meets the necessary regulatory standards required for procurement in certain institutional and government healthcare environments.

Is the osteotome provided in a sterile state?

No, this instrument is supplied non-sterile. While it is a high-quality, reusable tool, it is essential that it undergoes the appropriate sterilization process at your facility before its first use and between all subsequent procedures.

What makes this design effective for bone cutting?

This osteotome functions similarly to a chisel but features a blade that is beveled on both sides. This dual-bevel design, combined with its manual operation, provides excellent control and precision when removing or shaping bone tissue.

Does the design support precision in bone surgery?

Yes, the Sklar Lambotte design is specifically engineered for controlled bone cutting. The combination of its 9-inch length and 19mm tip provides a stable, balanced instrument that helps ensure accuracy during critical orthopedic tasks.

Is the instrument durable enough for long-term professional use?

It is built for professional longevity. As a factory new instrument from Sklar, it is manufactured to high standards. Furthermore, it comes with a Lifetime Warranty, which underscores the manufacturer’s commitment to the quality and durability of the construction.
