Description

Sklar Edge TC Mayo Dissecting Scissors are a modification of standard Mayo scissors that provide an exceptionally hard and durable cutting edge designed to stay sharp for a significantly longer period of time than standard scissors. Sklar permanently bonds the tungsten carbide inserts to the blade of the scissors which maximizes control and precision as well. Mayo Scissors are a versatile instrument that can be used in multiple procedures and settings. They are available straight or curved, in a variety of lengths, and have a standard beveled blade. While the curved instrument is most commonly utilized for cutting or dissecting dense or deep tissue, and the straight version is typically used for cutting surface tissue or sutures, both may be used interchangeably depending on procedure and physician preference. Identified by the handle of two gold coated finger rings these Sklar Edge scissors are straight with smooth, blunt/blunt tips and a length of 6-3/4 inches.

Is the gold detailing purely aesthetic?

While the dual gold-coated finger rings provide a distinct, professional look, they also serve a functional purpose as a visual identifier. This helps clinicians quickly distinguish these premium tungsten carbide scissors from standard stainless steel instruments in a busy surgical setting.

Are these made with natural rubber latex?

No, these scissors are not made with natural rubber latex, making them a safe choice for environments that require latex-free equipment.

Is this product TAA compliant?
