Frequently asked questions

Is this a reliable alternative to the OEM part?

Yes, the RPI DSA047 is a direct replacement for the Dentsply OEM Part #90125. It is manufactured to meet the same specifications, ensuring full compatibility with your Dentsply Cavitron JET Plus™ (Model #3915) system.

What is the benefit of the included maintenance log?

The included PM (Preventative Maintenance) Log helps your practice stay on schedule. Proper tracking ensures you stay consistent with the recommended 3-month interval for replacing the water disc filter, which is vital for maintaining optimal water flow to your scaler.

How often should I change the filter?

To ensure your equipment operates at peak performance, you should replace the Disc Filter (Water) every 3 months or sooner if you notice it becoming discolored. The kit includes two extra filters to help you get started with this maintenance routine.

Does this assembly have specific water pressure requirements?

Yes, for safety and optimal performance, your incoming water supply must be regulated within the range of 25 psi (172 kPa) to 60 psi (414 kPa).

What connection type does this assembly use?

This assembly is designed for a standard 3/16” Push-In Union Fitting, which allows for a secure and straightforward connection between your water source and the Cavitron unit.

Are replacement filters available once I use the extras?

Absolutely. While this assembly comes with two filters, you can purchase the RPI Part #DSF005 separately, which comes in a convenient 10-pack to ensure you are always stocked for routine maintenance.

Is this part in new condition?

Yes, the RPI DSA047 is supplied in Factory New condition, ensuring you receive a high-quality, reliable component for your dental ultrasonic scaler.

Should I keep the water line connected when not in use?

For safety reasons, it is mandated that the water supply line should be shut off or disconnected whenever the scaler is not actively in use to prevent any potential leaks or pressure issues.

Is this assembly difficult to integrate with my current equipment?

No, it is specifically engineered as a drop-in replacement for the Dentsply Cavitron JET Plus™ G132. Its standardized 3/16” fitment ensures a seamless integration with your existing setup.

Are there other components recommended to keep on hand?

To maintain your system effectively over the long term, we recommend keeping these parts on hand:

  • RPI Part #DSF005: Replacement Disc Filters (10-pack).
  • RPI Part #DSF048: Union Fitting (3/16”).
  • RPI Part #RPS672: White 6” Cord Strap.
