The TENS 212 is an affordable two-channel TENS unit that has continuous, modulated, and burst modes. A digital display shows all treatment parameters while the unit is in use. Pulse frequency and width may be set independently.

The soft Mettler blue color is a nice change from the typical black color of today's TENS units. The blue color makes the 212 easy to see from across the room.

Transcutaneous Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (TENS) has proven its high value as a method of pain therapy and is a great help to the experienced clinician. With some indications, medical practitioners can prescribe a unit to patients for use at home. The TENS 212 is a dual-channel electric stimulator for active treatment application, which is equipped with a Liquid Crystal Display indicating operation modes and output as well as a microprocessor for controlling the system.

The electronics of the unit create electric impulses: the intensity, pulse duration, pulse frequency, and modulation of these impulses can be adjusted by a button or a knob.

The TENS 212 can be plugged into the Sonicator 740 using a pin to banana adapter to perform combination therapy.

The Mettler Digital TENS 212 Neuromuscular Stimulator is designed for pain therapy and neuromuscular stimulation. It can be used to manage various pain conditions and assist in muscle rehabilitation, as prescribed by a medical practitioner.

What is included with the TENS 212 stimulator?

The Mettler Digital TENS 212 package comes complete with everything needed to begin treatment, emphasizing portability and convenience. The included items are:

  • Carrying case (for storage and transport)
  • Set of four V-Trode Self-Adhesive Electrodes
  • 9 Volt battery
  • Lead wires
  • Instructions (Manual)
Can I use the Mettler Digital TENS 212 with other devices for combination therapy?

Yes, the TENS 212 can be plugged into the Sonicator 740 using a pin to banana adapter to perform combination therapy. This allows for simultaneous ultrasound and TENS treatment.

Is a prescription required to purchase the Mettler Digital TENS 212?

A prescription may be required to purchase the Mettler Digital TENS 212. Please confirm whether you are a doctor, therapist, or have a prescription for the device. If a prescription is required, forward a copy to orders@mfimedical.com.

What electrodes and wires are included?

The unit comes with V-Trode Self-Adhesive Electrodes and lead wires. These are essential components for connecting the electrodes to the device and delivering the therapy.

What versatile treatment modes are included?

The Mettler Digital TENS 212 features three versatile function modes that allow for varied therapy protocols:

  • Continuous (C): Delivers a steady, constant stream of electrical impulses.
  • Burst (B): Provides stimulation in short, intermittent bursts (2 bursts per second).
  • Modulated Width (M): Automatically varies the pulse width over six-second cycles. This modulation helps prevent patient accommodation, keeping the treatment effective throughout the session.
Does the TENS unit have wide adjustable pulse settings?

Yes, the Mettler Digital TENS 212 allows for precise, independent control over the electrical impulse parameters for optimal pain therapy.

Here are the specific adjustable settings:

  • Pulse Width (Duration): Adjustable from 50 µs up to 260 µs in 10 µs increments.
  • Pulse Frequency (Rate): Adjustable from 1 Hz up to 160 Hz. The step resolution is 1 Hz for settings between 1 and 20 Hz, and 5 Hz for settings between 20 and 160 Hz.
How does the patient compliance meter work on the Mettler Digital TENS 212?
