Description

Sklar's Instrument Stringer is used to hold instruments during cleaning and subsequently transport them to storage and keep them organized. Unlike the Posi Lock Instrument Holder, there is no locking mechanism on this instrument stringer. This allows for ease of removing the instruments, but also may result in contaminated instruments should they slide off the stringer prior to use in a procedure. Multiple sizes of the instrument stringer are available depending on the volume of instruments being used. This product is 6" x 2-1/2".

Frequently asked questions

Is this stringer built to withstand repeated sterilization cycles?

Yes, this stringer is constructed from high-quality stainless steel intended for instrument-grade applications. It is fully reusable and designed to be compatible with standard clinical sterilization protocols.

Can I trust this product to be latex-free?

Absolutely. This Sklar instrument stringer is guaranteed to be latex-free, making it safe for use in clinical environments where latex sensitivity is a concern.

How does the lack of a locking mechanism benefit workflow?

The absence of a locking mechanism is specifically designed to provide maximum speed and efficiency. It allows for the immediate and swift removal of instruments, ensuring they are ready for use without having to manipulate complex latches during a procedure.

Is this device suitable for TAA-compliant facilities?

Yes, this Sklar Instrument Stringer is TAA compliant, meeting the requirements necessary for use in government and federally regulated medical facilities.

What is the primary benefit of using this during cleaning?

Using this stringer helps maintain consistent organization of your surgical instruments. By keeping items grouped together, it ensures a more efficient workflow during the post-use cleaning phase and helps prevent the misplacement of essential tools during transport.

How should I handle the stringer to prevent accidental slippage?

Because this design favors quick-release access over a locking gate, it is recommended to handle the stringer with steady, controlled movements. Avoid rough handling prior to deployment to ensure all instruments remain securely in place on the rod.

Is this product considered industrial grade or clinical grade?

This is a clinical-grade surgical instrument accessory manufactured by Sklar. It is engineered specifically to meet the high standards of surgical suites and sterile processing departments.

Does this stringer arrive ready for immediate clinical use?

The product is supplied in a non-sterile state. Like most professional surgical accessories, it should be processed through your facility’s standard sterilization protocols before its initial use in a sterile field.

How durable is the stainless steel construction?

The stringer is made from durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel. It is built for longevity in busy clinical settings, providing a reliable and stable platform for organizing your instruments through many cycles of use.

What are the exact dimensions of this stringer?

This model measures 6 inches in length by 2-1/2 inches in width, making it a compact yet effective tool for organizing sets of instruments during cleaning and transport.
