Warranty: 90 Days.

The Allied Healthcare L670 Disposable Bag Valve Masks - Child is designed to give first emergency personnel a real "feel" for a child patient's respiratory response. It can be connected to an oxygen source through a DISS / barbed connector. It also offers reliable airflow operation with the ability to manually determine a patient's respiratory response. This disposable mask is intended for single use only, and comes in a tamper-proof package to prevent contamination or exposure. Every Bag Valve Mask order includes a bag, patient valve, and 7 feet of oxygen tubing.

Features

Allied Healthcare L670 Disposable Bag Valve Mask - Child Features

  • Includes 6 per case.
  • Most child and all infant bags come with a pop-off relief valve, which pops off at 45 cm H20 max and can be overridden by the operator.
  • When specific repeatable concentrations of oxygen are required, the bag refill valve can be employed in conjunction with a blender.
  • When used as oxygen supplemented source, this device also ensures high FiO2 concentrations on every bag compression, no matter which clinical rate is employed. It will also conserve gas in the process by operating only while the bag refills.

Frequently asked questions

Is this bag valve mask designed for adults or children?

The Allied Healthcare L670 Bag Valve Mask is specifically designed for child patients, ensuring a proper fit and effective ventilation during manual resuscitation.

Does this BVM offer tactile respiratory feedback?

Yes, the Allied Healthcare L670 Disposable Bag Valve Mask (BVM) is specifically engineered to provide emergency personnel with tactile feedback regarding the patient’s respiratory response. This feature is crucial for effective pediatric resuscitation, as it allows the operator to:

  • Manually gauge the child patient’s respiratory compliance and resistance during ventilation.
  • Get a “real feel” that assists in accurately assessing the effort and making necessary ventilation adjustments in real time.
Is the BVM supplied in sterile, tamper-proof packaging?

Yes, the Allied Healthcare L670 disposable Bag Valve Mask is supplied in packaging designed to ensure sterility and safety before use. The unit is individually packaged in a tamper-proof polybag.

  • This packaging confirms the device’s integrity and prevents contamination, ensuring it remains sterile until the moment of use.
  • As this is a single-use manual resuscitator, the secure packaging is essential for maintaining strict hygienic control during pediatric emergency care.
Is the 258 ml bag volume for pediatric use?

Yes, the 258 ml bag volume of the Allied Healthcare L670 BVM is explicitly designed for manual resuscitation of child patients.

This child-specific sizing ensures appropriate ventilation dynamics while also providing first emergency personnel with crucial tactile feedback on the patient’s respiratory response.

Key safety and material specifications related to pediatric use include:

  • Safety Relief Valve: Most child bags feature a pop-off relief valve calibrated to a maximum of 45 cm H₂O to prevent over-pressurization.
  • Override Capability: This relief valve can be manually overridden by the operator if necessary.
  • Material: The bag is constructed from durable, latex-free Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR).
Does this BVM deliver high oxygen concentrations?

Yes, this disposable manual resuscitator is engineered to deliver high concentrations of inspired oxygen (FiO₂), capable of reaching up to 100% when connected to an oxygen source operating at 10 LPM or greater.

Key features supporting this high concentration capability and efficiency include:

  • Optimized Gas Use: The unit features a bag refill valve that conserves oxygen by operating only during the bag refill process.
  • Precision Control: This refill valve also allows the BVM to be used with oxygen blenders to achieve specific, repeatable oxygen concentrations.
  • Connectivity: The BVM connects easily to an external oxygen source via a standard DISS / barbed connector.
  • Complete Kit: Each package includes the bag, patient valve, and 7 feet of oxygen tubing, ready for immediate use.
What high-quality materials are used?

The Allied Healthcare L670 disposable BVM is constructed from specific, high-quality materials, ensuring it is completely latex-free for patient safety. The bag material, Thermoplastic Rubber (TPE), is specifically chosen to be latex-free.

Key component materials include:

  • Resuscitation Bag: Thermoplastic Rubber (TPE)
  • Patient Mask: Alpha PVC 3006-95
  • Deflector: High density polyethylene
  • Valve/Oxygen Enrichment Ports: Philips 66 KRO3
Is a pop-off relief valve included?

Yes, the Allied Healthcare L670 Disposable Bag Valve Mask (BVM) for children includes a crucial pop-off relief valve. This feature is integrated as a core safety mechanism for pediatric patients and is included in the standard L670-100 configuration.

This relief valve is essential for safety during manual ventilation:

  • Activation Threshold: The valve is preset to activate (pop-off) when the delivered pressure reaches a maximum of 45 cm H₂O.
  • Override Capability: The operator can manually override the relief valve mechanism if a specific clinical situation necessitates the use of higher ventilation pressures.
What is included with this ready-to-use BVM system?

The Allied Healthcare L670 is a factory-new, disposable manual resuscitator supplied in a sterile, tamper-proof polybag, ready for immediate pediatric emergency use. These units are packaged and sold in quantities of 6 per case.

Each standard BVM unit includes the following essential components:

  • Manual Resuscitation Bag: Constructed from latex-free Thermoplastic Rubber (258 ml volume), designed to provide excellent tactile feedback to the operator.
  • Patient Valve Assembly: The core valve system for manual ventilation.
  • Cuffed Child Mask: Sized specifically for pediatric patients, made from durable Alpha PVC, ensuring an effective seal.
  • Oxygen Delivery System: Includes an oxygen reservoir and 7 feet of oxygen tubing for connecting to an external source, capable of delivering high FiO
    V2 concentrations.
  • Safety Relief Mechanism: Features a pop-off relief valve set to a maximum of 45 cm H
V2O to prevent over-inflation (operator override is possible).
Is the BVM reliable in extreme temperatures?

Yes, the Allied Healthcare L670 Bag Valve Mask (BVM) is engineered for reliability across a wide range of challenging environments and temperatures:

  • Operating Temperature Range: -30°F to 125°F
  • Storage Temperature Range: -40°F to 160°F

This broad operational range ensures the manual resuscitator remains effective and ready for use in various emergency and field medical settings.

Is the packaging sterile and secure?

Yes, the Allied Healthcare L670 Bag Valve Mask (BVM) is engineered for maximum hygiene and safety. To ensure contamination control and maintain integrity, the unit is:

  • Supplied as a single-use, disposable device.
  • Packaged individually in a tamper-proof polybag to protect components from contamination and exposure prior to use.
