Description

The Allied Healthcare Carbolime Carbon Dioxide Absorbent is a granular, pellet-shaped soda lime compound that effectively absorbs carbon dioxide from closed or semi-closed breathing circuits. It does not contain any potassium hydroxide.

Warranty: 1 Year.

This granular mixture includes calcium hydroxide, water, sodium hydroxide, and an ethyl violet dye that changes white to violet once completely absorbed. It also contains minimal dust levels, to increase surface area and reduce friction. It possesses a moisture content between 12% and 19%, while maintaining a level of porosity to effectively absorb carbon dioxide.

The Carbolime Carbon Dioxide Absorbent permanently changes from white to pale violet to indicate when the granules have been exhausted. This also helps to avoid confusion when changing out old substances for new. Carbolime Carbon Dioxide Absorbent is available in 6 container configurations to choose from, to suit any device or storage specifications, including refill bags.

Here are the anesthesia machines that the Carbolime cartridges are compatible with:

  • #55-01-0027: GE Multi-Style Cartridge - compatible with GE Avance, Aespire and Aisys Anesthesia Systems.
  • #55-01-0028: GE Compact Style Cartridge - compatible with GE ADU Carestation.
  • #55-01-0029: Drager Style Cartridge - compatible with Drager Apollo, Fabius GS, Pallas, and Primus Anesthesia Systems

Frequently asked questions

Does Carbolime have a permanent color exhaustion indicator?
Yes, the Carbolime absorbent utilizes a clear, built-in **visual exhaustion indicator** to signal when its carbon dioxide absorption capacity is fully spent. This feature is based on an ethyl violet dye and the color change is permanent, preventing confusion during replacement. The indicator transitions as follows:**Active/Fresh State:** White**Exhausted State (CO2 absorption complete):** Pale Violet
Is this premium absorbent potassium hydroxide-free?
Yes, the Allied Healthcare Carbolime absorbent is formulated specifically **without potassium hydroxide (KOH)**. It is a specialized, granular soda lime compound designed for use in closed or semi-closed breathing circuits.

Its formulation includes calcium hydroxide, water, and sodium hydroxide, and is engineered for high performance:
