The ADC Laryngoscope Set includes two durable Satin Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Handles:

  • Medium ‘C’ Handle (Model #4065F)
  • Small ‘AA’ Handle (Model #4066F)

Both handles are constructed from satin chrome-plated brass and feature a knurled finish for a secure, positive grip. They house the 2.5v Halogen light source, delivering cool, fiber optic illumination to the blades.

Both handles are color-coded green, indicating they are exclusively designed for use with fiber optic blades. The necessary initial batteries (two ‘C’ and two ‘AA’) are included in the kit.

Are batteries included with the laryngoscope set?

Yes, the ADC Satin Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Set includes the required batteries so the handles are ready for immediate use.

The set includes:

  • Two “C” batteries (for the Medium ‘C’ handle)
  • Two “AA” batteries (for the Small ‘AA’ handle)
Does the fiber optic illumination show true tissue color?

Yes, the ADC Satin Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Set is designed to ensure accurate clinical assessment by providing illumination that renders true tissue color.

This high-quality visualization is achieved through the use of:

  • 2.5v Halogen Illumination: The light source is a 2.5v Halogen lamp, which is specifically optimized for displaying accurate and natural tissue colors.
  • Fiber Optic Transmission: This ensures the light delivered is cool, bright, and obstruction-free.
  • Enhanced Cleaning: The blades feature a removable light pipe to facilitate thorough cleaning, and the light source remains conveniently located in the handle.
Is the ADC Satin Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Set compatible with other brands?

Yes, the set is designed to be compatible with all major brands of laryngoscopes conforming to ASTM F965 or ISO 7376 standards.

How does the set ensure clear visualization?

The ADC Satin Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Set incorporates several high-quality features designed to provide reliable, clear, and shadow-free visualization during procedures:

  • Obstruction-Free Illumination: The light source is securely housed in the handle, and light is transmitted via fiber optics to the blade tip. This provides cool, powerful illumination without obstructing the clinician’s view.
  • Accurate Color Rendition: The system uses 2.5v Halogen illumination to deliver a bright, white light, ensuring you see true tissue color for accurate assessment.
  • Non-Glare Blades: The stainless steel blades are treated with a satin non-glare finish to significantly reduce distracting reflections during use.
  • Simplified Maintenance: The light pipe on the blades is removable, facilitating easy and thorough cleaning to maintain optimal light transmission and peak performance.
Does the set include a protective hard case?

Yes, the ADC Satin Fiber Optic Laryngoscope Set includes a foam-lined, fitted hard case.

This durable case is specifically designed to protect and organize all the included components, such as the two handles and the set of blades, ensuring secure storage.

Do the blades have a satin non-glare finish?

Yes, the laryngoscope blades are constructed from durable stainless steel and feature a satin non-glare finish. This finish is crucial for professional use, as it helps to minimize reflections in bright operating environments, ensuring optimal clarity and an obstruction-free view during procedures.

What does the green band on the handle mean?

The green band on both the laryngoscope handles and the blades is a critical indicator of compatibility. It signifies that the components are designed for exclusive use within fiber optic systems. This ensures proper fit and function, utilizing the fiber optic light transmission for superior illumination.

What blade configurations are offered?
