Maybe I just don't know how to use it?

This thing has never yielded a reading higher than about 94F, no matter whose ear it is in, no matter how it's pointed and situated in the ear canal. I did read the instructions and tried to follow them, as well as attempting to educate myself using instructional videos, nothing I tried worked and it always reads between 92F-94F. Maybe it needs better instructions, maybe I "got a bad one," it doesn't really matter because I can't use it.
