Description

The ZOLL OneStep Pediatric Electrode is designed for pediatric patients - children who are under 8 years old, and up to 55 pounds, while also enabling defibrillation, pacing, and cardioversion.

Warranty: 90 Days (2 Year Shelf Life).

When used with the R Series defibrillators, this electrode uses a unique pediatric algorithm that reduces the likelihood that a compensating rhythm will be terminated and ensures any unique pediatric ECG morphology will be accurately identified when a shock or cardioversion is indicated. When attached to the R Series, the defibrillator will automatically lower the starting shock energy to pediatric levels (50 joules) to ensure safe defibrillation.

Keeping track of electrode expiration is easy with the OneStep Pediatric Electrodes, as alerts will let you know when expiration approaches. In addition, the R Series conducts a daily Code-Ready test automatically without disconnecting the electrodes. A green check mark will be displayed if the R Series is Code-Ready, a red X if it is not.

Frequently asked questions

What are the safe limits for pediatric use?

These OneStep electrodes are engineered for the safe resuscitation of young patients, based on the following limits:

  • Patient Age Range: 0 to 8 years
  • Maximum Patient Weight: Less than 55 pounds (25 kg)

Enhanced Pediatric Safety Feature

When utilized with compatible Zoll R Series defibrillators, these electrodes automatically activate a unique pediatric algorithm. This system immediately sets the starting shock energy to an appropriate and safe level of 50 joules.

Which defibrillator models are compatible with these pediatric electrodes?

These electrodes are compatible with Zoll E, M, R, and X Series Defibrillators.

Do these electrodes support multi-function therapy?

Yes, the Zoll OneStep Pediatric Resuscitation Defibrillator Electrodes are designed for comprehensive multi-function therapy for pediatric patients (ages 0-8 years, weighing less than 55 pounds or 25 kg).

These electrodes support three primary therapeutic functions:

  • Defibrillation
  • Cardioversion
  • Pacing (supports up to 1 hour of pacing time)

Key Features and Safety:

  • Pediatric Safety Algorithm: When used with Zoll R Series defibrillators, the system automatically activates a pediatric algorithm, limiting the starting shock energy to a safe 50 joules.
  • Integrated CPR Feedback: A built-in CPR sensor provides real-time feedback on the quality of resuscitation efforts.
  • Compatibility: These electrodes are compatible with Zoll E, M, R, and X Series Defibrillators.
  • Code-Ready: They feature a CodeReady Connector that enables the R Series to perform daily automatic readiness testing.
What is the shelf life of these electrodes?

The Zoll OneStep Pediatric Resuscitation Defibrillator Electrodes have a standard 2-year shelf life.

For improved inventory management, when these electrodes are connected to compatible Zoll R Series defibrillators, the system provides alerts when the expiration date approaches.

Are these electrodes sterile?

No, these electrodes are non-sterile.

What is the length of the lead wire on these electrodes?

The lead wire length on these electrodes is 34 inches.

Do these electrodes feature integrated CPR sensing?

Yes, the Zoll OneStep Pediatric Resuscitation Electrodes include an integrated CPR sensor built directly into the pad. This functionality is essential for providing real-time feedback on compression quality during pediatric resuscitation efforts.

These electrodes are specifically designed for pediatric patients (ages 0-8 or under 55 lbs / 25 kg) and offer powerful multi-functionality and safety integration:

  • Multi-Function: A single set of electrodes supports defibrillation, pacing (up to 1 hour), and cardioversion.
  • Pediatric Safety: When used with Zoll R Series defibrillators, a pediatric safety algorithm is automatically activated, limiting the starting shock energy to a safer 50 joules.
  • Code-Ready System: The system supports daily automatic testing by the R Series, visually confirming readiness with a green check mark.
  • Compatibility: They are compatible with Zoll E, M, R, and X Series Defibrillators.
Do the electrodes activate a pediatric safety algorithm?

Yes, these electrodes are engineered to integrate with compatible defibrillators to ensure safe and effective pediatric care.

When the Zoll OneStep Pediatric Electrodes are connected to a Zoll R Series Defibrillator, they automatically activate a specialized Pediatric Safety Algorithm. This integration provides crucial benefits for treating patients aged 0 to 8 years (under 55 pounds/25 kg):

  • Automatic Energy Limiting: The defibrillator automatically reduces the initial starting shock energy to a safe, pediatric-appropriate level of 50 joules.
  • Enhanced Diagnostics: The algorithm ensures accurate identification of pediatric ECG morphology.
  • Integrated CPR Feedback: A built-in CPR sensor provides real-time feedback on the quality of resuscitation efforts.

These electrodes are also multi-functional, supporting defibrillation, pacing, and cardioversion.

What is the pacing time for these electrodes?

The pacing time for these electrodes is 1 hour.

Do these electrodes safely reduce shock energy for pediatric use?

Yes, these electrodes are designed with an integrated Pediatric Safety Algorithm to ensure appropriate and safe energy delivery for children.

Key safety features include:

  • Automatic Energy Reduction: When these electrodes are connected to a compatible Zoll R Series defibrillator, the system automatically detects them. This integration limits the starting shock energy to a pediatric-appropriate level of 50 joules.
  • Pediatric Algorithm Activation: The system activates a unique pediatric algorithm that helps ensure accurate identification of pediatric ECG morphology and prevents termination of compensating rhythms.
  • Patient Specifications: These electrodes are specifically designated for patients aged 0-8 years and weighing less than 55 pounds (25 kg).
  • Multi-Functionality: They support defibrillation, pacing, and cardioversion, and feature a built-in CPR sensor for real-time feedback on resuscitation quality.
