Description

The Zoll AED Pro Semi-Automatic/Manual Defibrillator comes with a carrying case, rugged over-molded outer housing, and an operator guide.

Warranty: 5 Years Factory, and Limited Lifetime on Outer Housing.

The AED Pro Monitor/Defibrillator is designed for both basic and advanced life support. While it offers guidance to the BLS rescuer, it also provides more advanced capabilities for the professional rescuer. This Semi-Auto/Manual model provides for both Semi-Automatic and Manual use of the unit.

The AED Pro's display is configured with Real CPR Help and See-Thru CPR technology that allows the rescuer to see depth and rate of compression as well as monitor underlying ECG rhythm while performing CPR. The AED Pro is designed for harsh environments, and is made to withstand dust and water while still remaining portable and functional for critical situations. Capabilities of the Zoll AED Pro span from Basic to Advanced Life Support with the flexibility of 3-lead cable patient monitoring. Batteries (#8000-0860-01) and electrodes are not included.

The AED Pro also features Rectilinear Biphasic Waveform (RBW) that was designed for external defibrillation to control for variations in patient impedance through a series of digitally-controlled internal resistors. This feature provides the maximum average current held for the optimum duration. RBW provides more current than the typical "high energy" biphasic that other defibrillators use, and has proven to be more effective than monophasic waveforms especially on high-impedance patients.

The AED Pro Defibrillator is compatible with CPR-D-padz, CPR Stat-Padz, Pedi-Padz II, and Stat-Padz II (all ordered separately), and has battery compatibility with Zoll E Series, M Series, and R Series professional defibrillators.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AED Pro durable for harsh environments?

Yes, the Zoll AED Pro is engineered specifically for superior durability and reliability in challenging conditions. Its robust construction features include:

  • Rugged Housing: It is built with a rugged, over-molded outer housing designed to withstand intense use.
  • IP55 Protection Rating: This certification ensures excellent resistance against dust and low-pressure water ingress.
  • Impact Resistance: The device has been validated by successfully passing a demanding 1.5-meter drop test.
Does the Zoll AED Pro offer advanced CPR feedback?

Yes, the Zoll AED Pro is equipped with advanced CPR feedback technologies designed to guide rescuers and ensure high-quality chest compressions. These features are:

  • Real CPR Help: Provides immediate, real-time monitoring and feedback on the depth and rate of chest compressions.
  • See-Thru CPR Technology: A unique feature that allows the rescuer to view the patient’s underlying ECG rhythm without pausing chest compressions, ensuring continuous monitoring during resuscitation efforts.
Does the Zoll AED Pro display the ECG rhythm during CPR?

Yes, the Zoll AED Pro features advanced See-Thru CPR technology.

This crucial feature is designed to filter out the artifacts caused by chest compressions, allowing the rescuer to clearly view the patient’s underlying ECG rhythm while CPR is actively being performed. This capability helps minimize interruptions to compressions and enables more informed, timely treatment decisions.

Does the AED Pro have a comprehensive warranty?

Yes, the Zoll AED Pro comes with a strong warranty package reflecting its professional build quality:

  • Device Warranty: A 5-Year Factory Warranty covers the main defibrillator unit.
  • Housing Warranty: The rugged, over-molded outer housing is protected by a Limited Lifetime Warranty, ensuring its durability against harsh environments.
Does it use a superior biphasic waveform?

Yes, the Zoll AED Pro utilizes the proprietary Rectilinear Biphasic Waveform (RBW) technology.

This waveform is designed to optimize energy delivery and is considered superior to standard biphasic or monophasic waveforms due to its ability to:

  • Control Impedance Variations: RBW ensures maximum current is delivered, which is crucial for effective defibrillation.
  • Enhance Effectiveness: This technology is proven to be especially effective for patients exhibiting high impedance.
What components are included?

The Zoll AED Pro ships as a factory-new unit and includes the following essential items:

  • Carrying Case
  • Rugged Over-Molded Outer Housing: This casing ensures the device’s durability, meeting the IP55 rating for protection against dust and water ingress.
  • Operator Guide

Important Operational Note: Batteries and Electrodes

To ensure the device is fully operational, please note that batteries and electrode pads are not included and must be purchased separately. The AED Pro is compatible with:

  • Batteries: Zoll E Series, M Series, and R Series professional defibrillator batteries.
  • Electrode Pads: CPR-D-padz, CPR Stat-Padz, Pedi-Padz II, and Stat-Padz II.
Which specialized electrode pads are compatible?

The Zoll AED Pro is compatible with several specialized electrode pads that enable its advanced monitoring and resuscitation features, such as Real CPR Help and Intelligent Pediatric Capability.

The compatible electrode pads (which must be ordered separately) include:
