This creates a gentle right angle and a blade that is marginally larger than a standard Kelly retractor but smaller than a standard Sims retractor. The blade itself has a curvature similar to that of the Sims retractor. The walls are U-shaped versus flatter like a Kelly retractor. There is no downward turning lip at the tip of the blade as there is with the Kelly retractor, and the tip is squared and blunt, unlike the standard Sims retractor which is rounded. This is a medium retractor with a 2-3\/4\" X 1-1\/4\" blade.
